November 7th 2018

Hello Everyone

What changeable weather we are experiencing with coughs and sneezies!!
Not sure how to dress!! Wind, rain and sunshine all in one day.

Our supper evening and 8th birthday celebrations were very successful
and enjoyable, lots of lovely food, cake and drink, socializing and
having a good catch up with each other.
The launch of the Members Sales Table was also a success, really gorgeous scarves.

This month it's a Bollywood Night, so get on your dancing feet and shoes.
Loose casual is the dress code.
Come along to enjoy an experience with fun and laughter.

Tea, coffee and chat as usual. Don't forget your coffee mugs.
Donations of cake and biscuits always welcome.

Looking forward to seeing you, Wednesday night, 7th November at 7pm.

4th July 2018

Hello Everyone

Sadly Laura has passed away after a short illness. Our thoughts and condolences are with her
family and friends.
Her funeral is on the 17th July, Rippleside Cemetery, IG11 9PF.
No special colours, except funeral flowers, Lilac and Purple, which Laura disliked.
First Ladies are invited to the funeral and wake.
Please contact Dora, as she is gathering the responses on Maurice's behalf.
                                              -------------------

We hope you are enjoying the glorious weather!!!  Long may it last.

Our speaker this month is Brenda Roberts a bespoke Milliner. She will be showing us her
gorgeous designs and the process of making a hat.  There will also be hats for sale, so bring
along adequate funds to buy anything you might like.

At our refreshment table there will be a sign-up sheet for the kitchen rota for future meetings.
Your donations of cakes will be greatly appreciated. Don't forget your cups, for tea, cakes and
chatter.

Have a lovely time over the summer.

Hello Everyone

Our thoughts are with Eirlys' family and our members at this time of sadness and loss.
Eirlys was a founding member and the committee of First Ladies WI.  Her service record is
shown as Treasurer, Secretary, President and finally as Vice President.
She will be greatly missed as she was popular with everyone for her warmth, generosity
and enthusiasm.
We thank everyone who has shown support and kindness.

Spring seems to have arrived!! Such lovely weather.

Our Suffragette 100 Banner was seen, on stage, at The All Points East Festival in Victoria Park,
last bank holiday Monday and much admired.

Philippa Croft, ACWW, is this months speaker.

Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday.
Please arrive for a prompt start at 7pm. Tea, coffee, cakes and chat as usual.
